Last week, on Friday the 9th of January, bushfire ripped through Harcourt and destroyed many homes and businesses. One of these was the Harcourt Coolstore where Love Shack lost approximately $250,000 worth of stock, equipment and packaging materials.
This was effectively our savings account, and now our business is incredibly vulnerable. Our first thought was to try and help others, but we quickly realised that we need help in our recovery too.
The outpouring of support from so many of you has been incredible. Our deepest thanks to those who have reached out, sent a message, come into Love Shack, bought a beer or enjoyed a meal: we appreciate all of you.
This membership drive and t-shirt sale campaign is the first step towards recovery for us. for more details on how to become a member, what you get for each tier, and how you can help Love Shack survive this shitty time.
We are committed to helping others impacted by the fire and have already commenced planning for a massive community fundraiser in the next month or so (watch this space!).
We understand that this is a tough time for many if you’re not in a position to become a member, we’d love to see your face at the pub in the coming days/weeks/months/(hopefully)years
